La marca de hoteles independientes de lujo Preferred Hotels & Resorts prev\u00e9 un incremento de 12 por ciento en M\u00e9xico para 2020, dijo su director nacional, Antonio Vera.<\/p>\n

Actualmente cuenta con 750 hoteles y 35 oficinas a nivel mundial, de los cuales 70 hoteles y una oficina est\u00e1n en M\u00e9xico.<\/p>\n

\u201cEstaremos sumando nuestro s\u00e9ptimo hotel de este a\u00f1o en diciembre en la Riviera Maya, para el 2020 esperamos estar cerca de los 80 hoteles con la adici\u00f3n de 7 m\u00e1s en ubicaciones como Tijuana, Mexicali y Culiac\u00e1n\u201d, coment\u00f3.<\/p>\n

Del total, 40 hoteles se localizan en destinos de playa y 30 en ciudad, repartidos entre destinos como Canc\u00fan, Riviera Maya, Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, Riviera Nayarit, Huatulco, Manzanillo, Acapulco, Ixtapa, Monterrey y Guadalajara.<\/p>\n

Para cubrir la zona noroeste del pa\u00eds, la marca busca pr\u00f3ximamente adherir hoteles en los estados de Sonora, Sinaloa y Chihuahua.<\/p>\n

La empresa categoriza a los hoteles en cinco diferentes colecciones y funciona bajo el esquema de \u201csoft Brand\u201d como una plataforma de generaci\u00f3n de negocio, presta servicios de marketing y distribuci\u00f3n internacional, pero la operaci\u00f3n corre por cuenta de los due\u00f1os de los desarrollos. Los hoteles aceptados bajo criterios m\u00ednimos de reconocimiento, calidad y personalizaci\u00f3n de servicios cubren honorarios anuales por el uso de la marca y el trabajo de marketing, correspondientes al 3 por ciento de los ingresos que generan.<\/p>\n

Vera destac\u00f3 que esta cuota est\u00e1 por debajo de la de operadores grandes, que cobran del 12 al 14 por ciento, adem\u00e1s Preferred Hotels & Resorts contribuye de 25 al 30 por ciento de la ocupaci\u00f3n del hotel, seg\u00fan su categor\u00eda y servicios que contrate.
